Interests want us to be complacent, disheartened, cynical, and doubting of our abilities to be effective agents of change. Corporations based upon the profit motive DO NOT WANT TO CHANGE. They’ve got it good and are maximizing profits by exploiting, polluting, disregarding our planet’s well-being. So their media outlets promote fear, anger and despair which reduces our hope, sense of possibility, and having healthy indignation for how we and the Earth are being treated. Fear sells stuff! Chronic fear limits our abilities to trust change and even from believing in the possibility of positive healthy change.
We need to demand change of exploitive corporations and irresponsible governance (many politicians are in the pocket of big business). Each and every person CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE by taking charge, by questioning how we make our economic, social, and political priorities. We CAN see a possibility for change and have hope for a more healthy way of governance, and doing business, we CAN act, envision & push for change. It is possible to grow into a place of love and care of our homes and our life-support system: the Earth. Individually and collectively we can become an ever widening influence on our family, friends, community and government. We can make a difference in reducing pollution, decreasing greenhouse gasses, and healing our planet. Our continued life on Earth depends on waking up. You can be a positive force of change of our collective self-destructive and mal-adaptive human habits and behaviors.
